As a principle investment-focused firm Helvacizade established an oil plant on 24000 m2 open and 6000 m2 closed area, which was established in November 1989 and completed on October 25, 1991. The oil factory started production with a capacity of 20000 tons per year.
Facilities have been supported by well-known experts and consulting firms from technology selection to application stage. It uses the world’s most advanced technology, providing the most advanced purification level. All of the production steps are carried out via computer system with PLC automation systems free from human error.
Production stages include the processes of degumming (removal of gum), dewaxing (removal of wax), neutralization (removal of free fatty oil), bleaching (whitening), winterization (crystallization), and deodorization (removal of odor). All stages have high purification level thanks to superior technology. For this reason, the production result in pure and long-lasting oil. Because these processes are carried out in accordance with computer automation systems, no trans fats occur in the vegetable oils.
There are additional units in the plant, except for oil production systems. The soft steam required for the steam and heat exchange system is produced. Raw water in a reverse osmosis water plant is softened by passing through a sand filter and two ion exchangers. Some of this water is used to produce steam, and some of it is sent to the Refinery system. The water produced by the reverse osmosis water plant is fit for drinking.
Thanks to the high technology of the plant, the foreign fatty acids obtained in the production phase are processed with an extra facility developed by university and industry business associations and they are industrialized as raw material for chemistry, cosmetics and feed industry.
Production is supported by the knowledge and beliefs of quality production of the people who work at all levels.
In 2003, the annual production capacity was increased to 130 thousand tons and currently Helvacızade facilities are operating on 102 thousand m2 open and 50 thousand m2 closed area.
Thanks to the capacity increase, it has been possible to produce vegetable oils by applying 12 different production methods. Facility is the first and unique in Turkey with superior and high technology. With the superior and unrivaled technology, innovative products will continue to be added to the product portfolio in line with the market need and to be offered to customers and consumers.
At every stage of production, Quality Assurance Systems which fully described the ISO 9000 standards of International Standards Institute have been established. It is the first oil production facility which received the ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate in 1994 in Turkey. In 1998, TS-EN-ISO 9001 quality system was introduced to include product design and development. In 2002, the ISO 9001: 2000 version was successfully completed.
At Zade vegetable oil plants, up to 400 analyses are performed daily in the laboratories having TS EN ISO IEC 17025 Laboratory Qualification Certificate on samples taken from 17 different points in the system. The laboratories are also ISO 17025 certified.
In 1998, TS-EN-ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Certificate, which is common in Europe but has recently been introduced by Turkey, has been taken. In 1998 TS-EN-ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System Certificate was obtained. Production is made within the scope of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) at the plant where food hygiene is very important.
